This policy explains how White Bus Scotland (“we”, “us”) collects and uses your personal data when you book a seat, request a quote or get in touch through this website. We are the data controller for the information you give us.
What we collect
- Your name, mobile number and email address.
- Your booking or enquiry details: pickup point, event or trip, number of seats, travel dates and any notes you add.
- If you pay online, your payment is handled securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.
Why we use it
- To take and confirm your booking, and to contact you about your travel.
- To respond to your quote requests and enquiries.
- To keep records of bookings for our own administration.
Our lawful basis is to perform our contract with you (your booking) and, where you have ticked the box, your consent to be contacted.
Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to keep the site working. With your consent, we also use analytics and heatmap tools (such as Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You choose when you first visit, and you can change your choice any time using the “Cookies” link in the footer. Nothing is tracked until you accept.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the providers that run this service for us: Stripe (payments), our booking and email systems, and, where you have consented, our analytics tools. Each handles your data under its own data-protection terms.
How long we keep it
We keep your booking records for as long as needed to run the service and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, then we delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, at any time. To do so, call us on 01698 537555 or email bookings@whitebusscotland.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
