How do I get to a concert at the OVO Hydro?
The easiest way from Lanarkshire is a return coach to the show. You book a seat to a named gig on White Bus, get picked up in your own town, and the coach drops you at the doors of the OVO Hydro and waits to bring everyone home after the encore. Hydro coaches are £25.50 return. You still buy your concert ticket from the promoter separately: the coach fare covers the travel only, there and back, with no parking, no taxi queue on the Finnieston bridge and no last train to catch.
Coach, car or train
Driving to the Hydro means the SEC and Finnieston car parks, which sell out for big nights and empty slowly onto congested streets afterwards. The train drops you at Exhibition Centre station but stops running not long after a late finish. A coach is the one option that starts in your town, takes you to the doors, and is still there waiting when an arena crowd leaves all at once.
You choose your pickup stop when you book. The main run covers Newarthill, Wishaw, Motherwell, Hamilton, Bellshill and Coatbridge, with feeder pickups from more towns for a few pounds on top.
What you book and what you pay
You book the coach seat online and pay when you book; the seat is held the moment the payment clears. Your exact pickup time is emailed to you 24 to 48 hours before the show. The concert ticket itself is separate and comes from the event's own ticket seller.
